Currently an assistant professor of HRM and Management at Northwest Missouri State University, I am a global citizen who previously lived and worked as a self-initiated expatriate for almost two decades in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. I have spent 10 years in managerial and executive level human resources positions in the UAE and the U.S., particularly in start-up private and government organizations. I have built and improved several expatriate management and orientation programs for private and public companies in the UAE and have provided targeted consulting on the same. I also have over 10 years’ experience teaching and mentoring doctoral students at universities in the U.S., the UAE, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. My research and scholarly publications focus on expatriate adjustment and international HR/OB topics.
