Dr. Cindy Zhiling Tu is an Assistant Professor of Information Systems in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems at Northwest Missouri State University. She received her Ph.D. degree in Information Systems from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University in Canada. She has published several research papers in professional conference proceedings and in journals such as Information & Management, Information & Computer Security, the International Journal of Mobile Communications, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, and Journal of the Midwest Association for Information Systems. Her research interests are in the areas of information systems security and privacy, business intelligence and data analytics, mobile commerce, technology acceptance, and usage and information systems.

She teaches courses such as Information Systems Analysis and Design, Business Intelligence and Analytics, Cybersecurity and IS Security Management, Project Management in Business & Technology, Enterprise Networking, MIS Capstone Project, etc.

What advice would you give to your online students?
As this is an online course, much of students’ learning will be self-guided. It is expected that students will read the entire course materials corresponding to each unit. For each unit, students will need to engage with a discussion, complete one assignment, and take a short quiz regarding the material presented.
