Required Documentation
To apply to the MBA in Finance without submission of a GMAT or GRE score, you must submit an official bachelor's degree* with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale from a regionally accredited university plus one of the following:
- A resume including three years of continuous, full-time professional work experience
- A resume including three years of continuous, full-time United States enlisted or commissioned military service
- 3.5 overall undergraduate GPA
- Graduate degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- A score in the 70th percentile or above on the Business Major Field Test
If you do not meet the above requirements, you may apply if you have a bachelor's degree* with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale from a regionally accredited university plus one of the following:
- A GMAT score of 440 or above
- A GRE score of 285 or above
- 3.5 overall undergraduate GPA
- An admission index of 1,100 (undergraduate GPA x 200 + GMAT)
- An admission index of 965 (undergraduate GPA x 200 + GRE)
*Applicants to the MBA program who do not have a bachelor's degree in business are required to successfully complete the MBA Business Foundation course as your first class, which is designed specifically for students who are new to business curriculum.

Managerial Economics is the application of economic analysis to managerial decision making. The course applies basic economic theory to day-to-day business decisions and long-run strategy and explores how economics affects the firm and the external environment in which the firm operates. Topics include: economic models, supply and demand theory, elasticity, regression analysis, firm and consumer behavior, production functions, cost analysis, forecasting, and firm organization and structure.

The course includes financial statement analysis, financial planning, capital budgeting, and valuation.
MGMT 54611: Business Decision Analysis Tools
Duration: 7 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
The application of mathematical and statistical methods to business decision-making in the various fields of business. Topics cover a number of subjects, including quality management, linear programming and queuing problems.
MGMT 54616: Organizational Behavior in Administration
Duration: 7 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
A consideration of various behavioral concepts which are found in organizational settings and which have implications for management personnel. Emphasis is on practical application of various topics such as teamwork, leadership, motivation, organizational change and development.

An examination of contemporary business practices utilized by successful organizations. Emphasis is placed on understanding current issues faced by senior management. Can be taken only during the last trimester of enrollment.
MKTG 55630: Strategic Marketing

An examination of contemporary marketing practices built around the strategic marketing process. The central focus is on becoming a customer-focused organization. Areas such as understanding customer satisfaction and customer value, as well as delivery and applied measurement issues, are explored.

A practical course which should enable the student to understand why people invest and how they make their investment decisions. Analysis of individual investment instruments will be the primary focus.
FIN 51630: Financial Markets and Institutions

This course is intended to help you understand the role financial institutions and markets play in the global economy. The course examines the role of central banks (especially the federal reserve) in regard to conducting monetary policy and its effects on financial markets within the U.S. and globally. Emphasis is placed on understanding how interest rates, reserve requirements and asset demand (stocks and bonds) impact inflation, demand, and supply along with employment. You will learn about commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies, mutual funds, and their roles within the financial markets.
FIN 51635: International Finance
Duration: 7 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
The course examines the managerial implications of financial decisions for multinational corporations. It will cover topics like exchange rate determination, foreign exchange risk, financial institutions around the world, international corporate governance, international corporate valuation, and international capital budgeting.
